For those who don't know, my name is Ren Stern. Born and raised in the West Village, I reside on 7th Avenue right below Bleeker (come visit unless you creepin). After being inspired by lovelylilbites.blogspot.com, the amazing Michelle Romano (a.k.a. Mini Ren)'s baking blog and making her delectable chocolate chip banana bread cookies with my mother, I decided that there was no reason why I shouldn't make one of my own.
After a sudden epiphany some time in my second semester of my first year at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, I realized that I wanted to write stories. I have a lot of interesting characters in my life to draw on including Mini Ren herself, and my Japanese-American background could bring an interesting dimension to my writing. I'm attempting to write a short story for every one or two weeks until summer break in August, so that mean I should have between 6.5-13 stories by the end of break. Let's say 10 is the goal. I think that's pretty reasonable. If any of you would like to challenge yourselves and write along with me maybe even once or twice, I invite you to respond to my blog posts with stories of your own as well. Or if you just want to say that my writing is crap, I invite those responses as well. Hi Haters!
The reason why I named the blog, The Chronicles of All, is because I would like to tell the stories of people of all ideologies, all backgrounds, and all philosophies. I would like my readers to really connect with my characters and identify with them, and even if they do not necessarily agree with me or the characters actions, that they can somewhat understand them.
